I wanna get a respray first. Not particularly a fan of Toscana Red! But the coupe is f**ked yet again and I need to spend a wedge on that AGAIN to get it back on the road. Infact phil, know anyone interested in finding out why manifold studs keep snapping in the head and replacing a duff secondary hydraulic cylinder on my '2 weeks on the car' F23 box

Are the bolts being done up to mach 10, only other thing is it a turbo an is there slots on the manifold for it to expand. God damn it your a physicist lol

yes yes I know this!! I didnt do the manifold studs when they failed. I had it back for about 3 days before it went again. I reckon the rear mount is shot too.
Yes its a turbo

they dont normally snap, they normally pull the threads out the head. On the standard C20let the manifold has slots in where the studs go so that the metal has room to expand an thus not into the studs themselves, or thats the idea as it will get hotter than a N/A manifold. Although saying that I have a XE flange on mine without slots an that hasnt gone wrong yet.
welcome back andy :thumb:

hi ste, hows the family mate??
Phil, I have no idea what keeps happening, all I know is that the car is a pit of money and can't seem to keep it going for more than 5 mins! Finally got a new box on and then 2 weeks later I have no gears again and hydraulic fluid pouring out the bottom of the box. Don't really fancy attempting it myself!!! Also I think I have had a non leaking manifold for about 3 weeks of my 7 month ownership of it! Tops out at about 143mph now whereas when I got it I had 153mph (private road!). VERY ANNOYING!!!!!
blah , just take the coupe engine out and give it me and :thumb:
