I have got a genuine nova sport that i bought to do trackdays in ,as seen at Llandow now i am a novice at trackdays but at a recent day at brands the nova was flying keeping up with most things and quicker than most around the back part of the circuit but i found if i didnt get a clear run out of the last bend onto the straight then i got out dragged down the straight then they would hold me up around the rest of the circuit. now my engine is putting out about 120bhp ,i can probably get another 20 bhp at most out of this lump, would it be sacriledge (sp) to put a 16v head on my 1400 bottom end ,i realise i need piston mods etc or worse still go 1600 this could be exspensive as my engine builder wont build a 1600 without steel rods or shall i sell it and buid another car. i dont really want to do this as i really wanted something i can use now as title:thumb:

build a big spec 1400 16v, or go 1600

nice to see a sport being used for once

was thinking of 16v 1400 but the bloke who builds my engines reckons a good 8v wont be far behind a 16v so are the extra costs worth it

1600 16v is prob your best and most attainable choice.

easily tuned

imho you wont see another 20bhp from the 1.3 without MEGA cash....

the same cash spent on a 1.6 16V would see that power but as a key note ***RELIABLY***

go 1600 if you want more power, i'd say the 8v though just for genuineity(sp?) and it only needs 1 cam, plus my mate has a corsa 1600 16v and god has its caused him problems, plus my Nova is faster ;) (although thats probably due to power to weight ratio.) way up pro's and cons then decide.
