Strange plug on a 20XE loom?

Hi all,
Just put an 20XE engine in my Vectra and have come across a strange plug I have never seen on an XE loom.
I must have helped , installed and removed loads of XE looms and never seen a plug like this.

I'm thinking they are the two ECU diagnostic wires????

what car did it come from? where in the loom is it?

Its originally from a 1989 Astra 2.0 16v running a 20XE engine. The plug is about 8 inches up from the main ECU plug just near the bulkhead grommet.

Word from the Astra mk2 forum is that both wires are ECU diagnostic wires.

They are, brown/white, brown/yellow are diagnostic wires.
