carb/head help

would just bolting on a 1300 head with weber carb be ok on a 1400 sr. do i need to do anything else

oh yea i forgot to menchion that as was pretty obvious but i mean for the cambelt, compression etc is it all ok

Compression will increase but will still be fine. It will go 'straight' on but no doubt small things will need to be changed like throttle cable etc...

Need a barrel end throttle cable, and a manual choke cable.

are the cams the same? ie are they the same performance cams for both 1400 and 1300 heads

1400 cams better, marginally.
But it depends which ignition system you have, as to what cam you can fit.

if i use the sr ignition set up but with the 1.3 dizzy cap (as i cant be bovered to mess about with timing) then will the 1400 cam be better?

Might as well keep the 1.3 cam, so you can leave the ignition system untouched then.
