WIERD NOISE

Got a funny noise coming from fuel pump area of cam housing.New pump,cam belt,water pump just fitted.engine runs and drives well.D reg 1.2L,38k on origional engine, well looked after.

If its a clicking noise sometimes the fuel pumps rattle and click. If not and its a whirring noise or similar then it could be the cam belt rubbing on the cam cover etc ?

Could be the bearings in your water pump,If the oil inside has dried up it will make a whirring noise,the water pump uses the cam belt as a tensioner

New water pump already fitted,checked cam lobes & rockers-ok.Only starts to make noise when engine has warmed up.Sounds like a moany /whizzing noise,definately coming from fuel pump area of cam housing,new fuel pump fitted also.

Is your cambelt at the right tension? If its too tight it'll moan.
