Ive got both a Nova & a Corsa.

The Nova is TBH loads more fun to drive, but the Corsa is smoother and more comfortable IMO

I would imagine finding a rot free Corsa is easier that with a Nova, but I couldnt bear to be seen in a Corsa unless it was a seriously sorted GSi.

Corsa's make horrible noises from the doors when slammed & the drone from behind the dash. Cheaper noises than what a Nova makes IMO. Its no improvement over a 'tight' mk2 if you ask me.

well the 2ltr is a mk 1 and the the shell is solid no rust at all the strut tops are perfect and the boot is spot on same with my mk 2 i had a corsa last yr but i crashed it :( so i no what to expect:)

Well if both novas are rust free then whats the point in swapping one for a corsa? unless you want abs or airbags or wimpy things like that!

Or Micra-esque bodywork.

Corsa's were a step sideways when released, not nearly an improvement tbh.

I changed from a Nova to a Corsa 5 years ago because of the rust problem andtrying to find a rot free one.
Its alot easier trying to find clean unabused Corsa's than Nova's.
That said I so wish I still had a Nova, for the fun factor. But the Corsa is a good substitute.

Ive owned both too.
Corsa is a smoother, better built car.
And you can pick up mint structural ones for like ?250.
They handle engine power better than a nova too imo.

Nova looks completely OWN the corsa tho,Lol.

ive got a corsa gsi 2litre, top little car, just rust in the usual places land cracking on pillars! corsa makes more noises than a load of stones in a biscuit tin. only had it a while, needs a few bits doing to it. But other week i drove my mates 2litre nova and i loved it, but i like my comeforts. power steering bum me!!

Mk3 astra?

..or a mk2 champion if you can find one.

Do you really need power steering in such a small little car, and its not like corsas are that much more refined than novas. If you want comfort, safety etc get something bigger like an Astra. Seems pointless to me swapping a nova for a corsa if theres no rust on the nova, you dont gain all that much, and have to drive around in a girly looking car.

i dont want a big car but i dont want a old car my nova is rust free and no rot at all still has some thing like 10month mot but i want to get in the car when winter comes and b warm not have to have 9 layers on to keep warm lol and im board of the nova now
