lol

You've not really given a fair argument there. Do you often drive long distances? Do you have lots of mates who would appreciate a lift anywhere? Do you not mind having no stereo etc or getting wet when it rains?

The other option of course would be find a car thats in a lower insurance bracket. I can't imagine a group one car being ?2.5k to insure.

Mopeds are for 16 year olds as i found out between the age of 16 & 17.
Allthough they are fun i would much rather get a big bike if i was going to get another bike.

IMHO, if you live in london, a moped is a no brainer.

No, the lowest nova is a group 3 (1.0 or 1.2i)

Group 1 you're looking at small Fiats (Panda 4x4!), 750cc Mini, 2CV, Citroen C1/C2, Pug 107, Seat Marbella, Skoda Fabia, Toyota Aygo, Yaris, 3cyl Corsa C...

As said, a bike would be better than a moped but insurance would probably still sting you there. Plus, as I've always maintained, "Chav" is a state of mind, NOT what you wear/drive/do etc. Mopeds can be extremely chic in the right hands, especially in London.

you may not want to look like one, but you certainly type like one :p

tbh pube lick transport in london is good enough to not need a car/bike at all so imho I'd opt for the car route but hey

If your going to go 50cc then get a Derbi Senda 50cc with a 80 bore kit and pipe.

Get the Runner! I had one when i was 16/17 i put a racing exhaust on it, new cluch springs, rollers and a 70cc kit lol To be fair it went like fcuk. easily read 70-75 on the flat and go off the clock down hill. Bit worring when it has a stamp on it not to exceed 30mph! ?15 tax and my insurance was ?115 and you get 100 miles to the galon easy. Makes sense in london, no congestion charge too. And with the money you will save running a 'ped you will save loads and a car will be possible as a project too. :thumb:

I'm now going to go have a look at a aprilia rs125

i have heard that i can put a aprilia 257cc engine in to the bike so that will be 50hp on a 10kg bike so should be fast lol

NovaLad

Nick

I wouldn't want to be going anywhere near 130mph on a RS125.. it simply isn't safe.

Oh.. and i hope your insuring all this stuff ?

turbojolt
24-09-07, 08:25 PM
i don't think 130mph on a moped sounds to safe to be honest unless i try it down bovey airfield
