BT poped in this afternoon trying to find some space in my ever decreasing (size wise) garage. Since the barn is uber dusty its not the best place to build an engine.

I have a stack of 12 wheels & tyres next to my new engine and the space was just about right for another engine stand. So we needed to find a new home for the wheels. My garage is quite high, so it was decided to make use of this wasted space and build a tyre rack.

Now BT's barn has lots of useful stuff all over the place, including scaffold:D So we took some measurements and went to find some bits of pole as well as bracketry. The decided on a plan.
We only had to chop off a lug on two brackets and with a bit of drilling and swearing:roll: We came up with this.

So now BT has a nice little space in my garage for his engine build:cool:

Indeed, you'd give me terrible cramp.

Turned out rather well IMO :) Considering we didnt even draw anything, just threw some random poles and brackets in the van. Didnt cost a penny either!

At one point Dars nova nearly got a face print in it as he stood on one of his worktops that tried spitting him off lol. That would have been photo first, then phone an ambulance.

We were also helped by Percy, he's great at eating stray birds that fly into the garage..

EDIT just noticed the poor bugger's missing a leg!

You can't really tell in that pic, but it has about an inch clear either side (note wing mirror folded in lol), and when you shut the garage door the lock touches th rear bumper lol

I have to climb across to the passenger side (there's a bit more room on that side when its in the garage), its just the door thats tight. Believe me, in a jap car like that you need to be a contortionist to climb across and exit in one piece. Its not much fun for a fat b#stard like me lol

I did consider using the sunroof though :D
