astra mk3 gear shifter

does anyone know if the gear shifter found in a mk3 is the same or similar to a cav/calibra one? i was planning on putting a cav shifter in but i have a scrap astra so wondered if that one would do the same job? any thoughts appreciated, cheers

I think the astra one will work, but I believe the cav gsi one is the best to get, something like its 3" shorter and straighter.
