carb or engine problem???

i have a 1.3 sr and ihave noticed when i get to around 40 in 4th the steering wheel shakes.
and also when im on the motor way and am going at 70-80 the car seems to jerk/cut out (still running) and WONT GO whaats wrong?
I smelt the oil dip stick and smaells petrolly anyone help???

vibration = tyre prob/suspension prob - check balancing (a weight may have come off)

As for cutting out - if engine stalls at that speed shit yer pants! if you get big loss of power check dizzy cap for cracks/timing. could try cleaning carb. I had loss of power at similar speed - turned out to be carb (cleaned it and it was fine)

yeah it does slow at high revs in low gear

fuel pump blocked /faulty
fuel filter in carb inlet blocked??

sounds like fuel starvation

it cuts out and jerks and wont go :( i need a new carb (twin sr) anyone got one?
