Hi again all, as iv mentioned before iv recently bought a redtop nova. I was wondering what sort of brake set up do you guys use as quite alot of you drive them, and what are a good choice of discs/pads for this engine. I cant afford really expensive ones but obviously want some that are going to do the job right.
Much appreciated, ;)
this has been asked about 6 times this week do a search or look though some posts

2l 16v brakes are 256x24mm. Look for Cavaliers, Calibras and Astras with the 2l16v engines.

cheers bud
its not engine specific ffs.
as said there have been loads and loads of threads about brakes in the past 5 days. all with nice easy titles too.
256x24mm.
You've just answered the question I was going to ask, even before I asked it lol
Was looking for some new discs for mine. Found a few sets but wasn't sure if they were the right ones as they were only ~?50 a pair for grooved - I'm used to having discs that cost ~?200 each lol

Of course its engine specific lol
erm no its not....
you could have a 1.0 and "need" better brakes on track than someone who has a 9 million bhp 2.0 who only ever minces round town...

yes but we are talking about better brakes for a 2.0 16v as mentioned so I cant put 1.0 or 1.4 brakes on it can I. I was only asking for advice not someone to argue with.
point missed.
have a look at the other brakes threads just down the page.
