Has anyone used this for datalogging rather than payroll etc? I may need to pick your brains over the next week...
Failing that, anyone find or know a link to some FREE tourial sites?

Cheers

Well I'll know more tomorrow, but basically this company im temp-ing for want me to look over their sage database. They use it to keep track of vehicle rentals, sales, etc as well as stocks and customers. It's sould like they've been sold something they don't need. I didn't think Sage was a database thing, more a payroll/accounting thing. Can the program be adapted to this use, because it looks like someones tryed and it a hell of a mess lol

I'm sure there is a cashbook facility on SAGE I'll have a look at the system tomorrow. You can also use it as a debtors and creditors thing.

You can get it to do the accounting thing but also the other bits like daybook, sales and purchase ledger.

Cool, cheers for that.

I just downloaded a trial version of it to help get my head round it. A lot easier than I thought. Just got to keep playing.

You should be fine had a quick look at ours today (cause we use as different system and download it into SAGE ((why I have no idea))) and should be really simple to get the hang of.

Keep playing it's not rocket science! :thumb:

one thing you need to know about act and sage is that they are both owned by sage but do not work together well enough. i would agree with stu. you are gonna have to do the job twice so negeotiate lol
