Please help me. I have a K reg GSi that has just started playing up. I am driving along and loose all power. Pressing the accelerator does nothing. When I pull in and drop the clutch it stalls. It won't start again first time, I need to leave it about 2/3 minutes. One time my orange engine light showed but the rest of the time I get no lights til it stalls.

Does anyone know what's wrong :-/ I'm desperate.

Cheers, Kirsten

maybe the crank position sensor needs replacing? bad conection on wiring? low fuel pressure?

if u had the orangle light come on once when the engine was still running take it to vuaxhall and they will read the fualt code for you, and say what the problem is, costs ?20 usually

What was the weather like?

Wet? Dry? Hot? Cool?

If wet, could be ignition such as leads and dizzy getting wet.

Need a little more info really.

In answer to the weather question: a bit cold and soggy I suppose. You know what the weather has been like the last week! It hasn't done it in the rain and I have no problems starting it in the morning. I have noticed that the rev counter drops to zero when it happens. Does this trigger and ideas??
