Been looking at houses recently as im hoping to buy som property in the near future but came across this.

How much fun wuold it be to live in a church lol, I can imagine im going to end up with something stupid like this.

an no doubt living in the middle of a grave yard lol, im the kind of person that just wouldnt bother with heating anyway.

That is a property developer's wet dream. There's a converted church in Falkirk, think it's got 6 flats in all. Centre of Town, you can imagine the cost of a flat in a town centre and I'm sure it wasn't much dearer than the one in the link.

Thats the worrying thing, its affordable. Admittedly it will need work doing to it but still it would make for an interesting home.

If its listed wouldnt you have to do re-working and improvements to a national recommendation or something or other, iirc ?

Depends what the local planning policy allows.

Just because it's listed doesn't mean you can't change it's use into a dwelling. The listed bit will just refrain you from extending it or altering it's character (i.e all windows would need to be kept or replaced like for like). You just have to apply for listed building consent at the same time as planning. Listed building consent is free, and works on a listed building are TAX free

Buy it phil.. and employ me :)

Oh, and expect some TPO's.... yes that's right, some special trees
