That is a property developer's wet dream. There's a converted church in Falkirk, think it's got 6 flats in all. Centre of Town, you can imagine the cost of a flat in a town centre and I'm sure it wasn't much dearer than the one in the link.

Thats the worrying thing, its affordable. Admittedly it will need work doing to it but still it would make for an interesting home.

If its listed wouldnt you have to do re-working and improvements to a national recommendation or something or other, iirc ?

Depends what the local planning policy allows.
Just because it's listed doesn't mean you can't change it's use into a dwelling. The listed bit will just refrain you from extending it or altering it's character (i.e all windows would need to be kept or replaced like for like). You just have to apply for listed building consent at the same time as planning. Listed building consent is free, and works on a listed building are TAX free
Buy it phil.. and employ me :)
Oh, and expect some TPO's.... yes that's right, some special trees

something like that does require special trees, what special trees would suit it best?
It's probably allready got special trees. Native species of course
