Sky news
channel 501 iirc
Bad news indeed.
ps. he started rallying in novas
I saw it at the motor show. It had some battle scars. Colin only finished in two positions in it. either 1st in class or upside down

Sad news R.I.P Colin
A tragic loss. As with Burns, when they spent so much time and took so much risk doing what they were the best in the world at doing, to then to lose their life to something else is awful.

Rallying has lost another legend. I met him on servral occations through events and my codriver Ewan. His passion for driving was plain to see to one and all.
On wrc events if the was a chance of a win he would go for it. Many top drivers dreaded having him behind them if there was that chance, because that was when some of his best drive came about.
It will take a long time for motosport to find someone of his ability and character to grace us again.
We must also remember that it was with the Vauxhall Nova Sport that his talent really started to show with giant killing class wins and top 10 finishes with a car that had less than half the horse power of the leading cars.
My thoughts go to Alison his wife and daughter Holly, also to Jimmy and Margret his father and mother and to his brothers Alastair and Stuart.
R.I.P Colin and Johnny McRae.

A really legend, he was an idol of mine, hence my username:(. Cant imagine what his wife and surviving child are going though, my thoughts are with them. Its such a shame that british motorsport had two of its greatest rally drivers life cut short so close to each other. Mcrae was one of the best in the bussiness and will be sorely misses by millions of fans around the world.
RIP

Cracking video that.
Shows what stood him apart. the only gear in his car was flat out with no ifs or buts. Sometimes it did for him but its what made him a competative animal
Big loss to motorsport. Perhaps one if not the most charismatic driver to have graced the scene. Driving style all is own.
Big loss. feel sorry for all familys involved.
A career ended to soon and now several lifes ended to soon!
