Anyone know if this is possible?

I have a CR F15, with a 3.74 FD, but I want a long ratio 5th for motorway action, is it swappable just with the end cover of the box removed?

No one ever done this?

99% sure you can do a 5th swap with just the end plate off.

but a 3.74FD is already nice and "long" so pikey m/way cruising should be possible...

Long!
wtf, im at near 4k revs at 70mph lol

I want that as low as can be really, as i struggle to hear much.

well if its the same as the f20 you just remove the end cover then remove the circlips that retain the cogs to the shafts then just pull the cogs off with a set of gear pullers

I was going to do this when i had CR gears with a 4.18 fitted. At 70mph i'm sure it was around 5k rpm lol.

As above really, just take end plate off,And get some pullers. I'd fit new circlips also, ive had issues with re-using them.

Cool. :)
I just need to find a WR 5th then, maybe from a diesel box?
