hi, ive got a nova with a 2l xe conversion. ive got a few problems with it.
first off it is running really rich and i havent got a clue where to start looking to sort this out. any ideas?
also it is burning quite a lot of oil. i was getting oil on the spark plugs and in one nite of fast driving it droped from the top mark on the dipstick to just under half! i initially thought this would be the piston rings and bores but i spoke to a friend that is a mechanic and he seems to think that it is ok at low revs, idle speed. it is only when the revs are increased that it starts to burn oil. he said that this could be cause by the over fueling creating exess pressure which is drawing in oil. sounds like a load of rubish to me? any thoughts.
also when ideling i have to keep the gas on for a while for it to warm up otherwise it cuts out.
any help would be greatly appreciated.
cheers

It could be the valve seals, or it might need the breather mod doing.
