Chipped ECU

a mate of mine is selling an ecu which is supposidly chipped. he has never used it.
the ecu is from a cav gsi.
ive opened it up but nothing seems to stand out. is there something that will give away the fact that it is chipped? help please. dont want to buy it if its not!!

It should have a replacement chip fitted into it, with the manufacturers sticker/name on it.

There pointless anyway.

Aye, utterly pointless on a standard engine when you weigh it up against its cost.

if youve got cams and a powercap, and a custom exhaust, it may be worth spending the money to get the most out of the mods, but it will need a mapping session.
