a friend and i are buiding a kadett C coupe with an 20seh.
don't know how it is in the UK, but here in the netherlands its hard to get the parts needed for a (d)ohc swap.
V nice, and just down the road from me, might take a look
the coupe a friend and i are rebuilding.. it's gonna take a lot of welding :P

Fooking awsome, nice xe or a pinto would go down a treate.
i can put up a thread about the restauration of the C coupe if there's any interest?
Yeah XE conversion parts are scarce here, you need the 1.8 Manta gearbox, mounts, sump, and oil pick up pipe which are hard and expensive to come by!
And also for the Kadett, a Manta A back axle would be advised which is even harder to come by!! A Manta B axle can be used, but it will have to be arched as it's a good bit wider!
the 1.8s gearbox (gertrag 265) is expensive, and nees a few mods before you can fit it on a (d)ohc engine.
also possible is a gertrag 240 gearbox.
where using a r25 gearbox from a A omega. only problem is that whe have to make a custom axle between the gearbox and the back axle.
where also using a manta B rear axel :)

2 ascona's and a manta, nice collection!!
btw,
for the manta 1.8s oil pick up pipe, with a little adjustment you can use a c20xe one.
