View Full Version : Stolen, brand new 19" vxr snowflakes with new tyres.
Turned up to work today to find one of our pre pdi cars missing it's set of 19" vxr snowflakes! Some tea leafs had very ingenoiusly broken into our alarmed compound and made off with a full set with delivery miles on only.
They are 19" with 235/35/19 continental contact sport tyres fitted. they then proceed to drop it straight on its discs and make off! wheels were stolen last night.
If anyone spots some for sale on e-bay/other forums i'd be grateful if you'd let me know.:thumb:

**** sake thats not good john , do they come with locking nuts as std , i know that would only slow them down a little but just wondering how long they had at it ?

unfortunately locking bolts are fitted at pdi stage, so they weren't fitted. the car was delivered at 4.30 and close of business is 6pm, so we'd only had for a just over an hour! Work think they must have been stolen to order as there was a 19" equipped vxr sat about 10 feet away and they didn't even touch it.
the sensors for the camera/alarm had been cleverly tampered with, it didn't even go off!

me thinks this is either very cleaver or very fishy
Nah, i don't thinkd so tbh, the only people who knew the car was arriving were sales admin. we've had a similar car in the pound for over two weeks, which went to it's customer yesterday lunchtime, so i reckon someone has cased the place and just got lucky.
Strategic bits of paper had been placed over pir light sensors. the compound is unfortuanelty unlocked in the daytime for deliveries etc.

i know things like this happen as i also work at a main dealer we came in one morning i was asked to bring in a hilux and it had no doors no bonnet no bumper lol tea leafing scum bags
Inside job?
Exactly what i think. Someone who knows something, whats wrong with working hard for a living these days? Never have i felt the need to steal, i get by with what i get payed, not a great lot, never had a good education either, hardly ever turnt up for school, brought up in council housing yet i still see no need to steal, hope they get caught, but still, is there really much point being ''punished'' these days.
It seems to me that some one who knew it would be turning up, knew the sercuity and knew about the wheel bolts, otherwise they would of done one before. Gotta be inside, unless theres been a customer or two hanging around a lot. Could always be a 'mate' of some who works their. Im sure you'll see a non-VXR something rolling round on those wheels tho.
Deffo sounds like they had done their homework and stolen to order.
Which branch do you work in John, the Hanley one?
Does sound fishy IMO john, someone stealing to order would probably go the old fashioned route of nicking a car from the public and having the wheels off somewhere safe. Plus knowledge of the cameras and how they work would be essential.
Lets face it, a sales admin will get more for the wheels that he would commission for selling the car lol
