Im currently with CIS and paynig 850 TPFT on a 1.4sr at 19 with 1 years no claims and no points. They don't know ive got any mods, however I thought about coming clean and owning up to all my mods. But when I checked with CIS on several occasions they told me that my lowered suspension by 60mm my 15" wheels my Piper evo 3 exhaust upgraded brakes and de-locked doors dont change my premiums. But heres the fuc*ing funny thing, they said that if I put a GSI front bumper and GTE side skirts my insurance will go up to group 12 and I will pay for a GSI even though its a 1.4sr !!!! Any help on who to go with as I want to tell about all my mods ??? Anyone else with CIS had any shit like this ??? help much appreciated lads (and ladesses).

I think that you can do anything to the car, as long as you dont change the speeds etc, rob26 is right i think.

i'm not with cis but it's a similar co. they say i can do anything as long as the engine stays roughly the same speed! in other words i will pay more for my twin 45's if i was to fit them, get me?

your not understanding insurance. think about it, if you make you car a top car looks shit hot, then its more nickable which means if you are covered for theft/fire, then the premium is gonna be higher. On the otehr hand if you live in a very low crime area then the body mods wont do that much, but lets face it where in the UK is a low crime area! you have to accept that insurance companies are robbing bastards, and will make any excuse to increase the premium, such as "oh its a sunny day, your premium goes up ?50 a month"

Ive come to the conclusion that all insurance companies are wankers !!!
I found this company called Hi Performance and they will insure me with Mods on a 1.4sr TPFT for ?850 !! CIS can kiss my hairy ASS !!!
