i got a 1.4 mpi engine it sound like the bottom end is ticking.its only when u accelerate in a higer gear from a slow speed.my mates spi done it aswell any ideas wat it would be?? its been doing it a while now but it seems to be getting worse.

Sounds like big ends or mains have had it. New engine or rebuild time....

mite put a gte/gsi engine in it any how hards the conversion or is it just slap in job?

a C16SE should be pretty much a straight swap, using your existing loom, mounts, gearbox, fuel lines etc.., you should only have to swap the ECU and the engine itself.

really no change of hubs or anything? wat about exhaust?

its more like a rattle now than a ticking tbh.its runnin really smooth

get it checked out because it mightened be big end bearings, when the big end bearings went in my car it was a serious ticking noise, was afraid to drive it, would destroy your crankshaft if you keep driving

yer i know.i mite just drive it till it breaks then get a 1.6 engine if its simple to fit.
