Fuelsender vs digidash

I have a 16V converted nova with 1.3I fueltank and elektricalsystem from astra with digidash.

My question is if the instrument will show the right amount of fuel?

it kinda does but seems to be out alittle. When I completely fill my tank it goes about 50 - 75 miles until the 1st bar drops and when empty you can drive about 30(the must i've tried lol) and it still runs. I think it was said that its cause of the difference in shape between the astra and nova tank.

doesnt it depend on how much fuel is in the tank at the time of fitting the dash? ie if theres a quarter of a tank of petrol in the gauge will take that info and show the tank to be empty.

so yeah it will show the correct fuel cos its just a signal sent from the tank to dash and shown aint it?
