theres a slight tapping noise coming from somewere on the engine when started up from cold its bang on then go on long journey ish and it starts tapping like mad then goes away then comes back

will it be the lifters if so how long will it last like this

Thats an impossible question lol

Noisy tappets wont hurt in the short term, but you need to get them changed or you may end up bending a valve .
