Is the "strengthened shell" real or just here say?

If it's true, is the GTE one also up-rated over standard models and where's the extra strengthening? (I've not really looked but I've not noticed anything different)

this may sound stupid to some of you, I know why the SRi was made due to the advent catylic converter, but between a J reg SRi and a J reg SR, what are the performance differences like 0-60, if there are any differences. cheers.

yes it is GSI spec suspension along with gsi brakes, anti roll bars and also uses the same shell as the gsi with all of the streghening plates etc.

live fast, die young, leave good looking corpse

the gte/gsi/sri shell is a couple of mm thicker around the engine bay. as mentinoned above the SRi engine is different to the 1.4SR engine. totally. the SRi engine is a corsa engine (so you'll be better off with a early corsa haynes manual for engine bits as my green haynes mentions harldy anything about it.
