that looks much better now mate i might have a ht lead in my garage for you after we ripped the old one apart
I dont wont to ask what you two were up to lol.
LOL. I think the 4th lead is still acting as a coil lead in the Frontera, thats if its still alive! lol lol
Its cool chris im going to treat it to a new set of leads before next season. Maybe even some plugs as well lol

Nice 'lil workshop you got there, I maybe able to help you out a bit too - I can get hold of loads of insulation off-cuts if you wanted to warm it up abit, going to do my own garage this winter.
Chris. Lee said you are after a block or a bloke not sure what he was on about lol.

Sh1te. Forgot about that! Not come accross that yet!
The 1.2 went for its MOT at Craigs a few weeks back. It passed, but with a list of serious advisories that he trusted me to sort.
So a large amount of parts were ordered :)
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v287/Bottlethroddy/17102008193.jpg
Also decided to spruce up the paintwork while I was at it.
Craig donated his old MK1 grill after mine was ripped off by some thieving bastids on the estate. Gave that a paint up too. (thanks pal :))
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v287/Bottlethroddy/17102008197.jpg
Today I gave it a damn good wash and polish, bunged some new floormats in it, and

sorry, didn't notice your post pal. I think its down about 50mm.
More bodgery soon people, i promise lol
Hows things down at the Barn sugar?
Stalled lol.
We've come to the conclusion Hayley isnt going to be able to manage a manual choke, and the old girl is NOT liking the cold weather at the moment. SO im either in the market for an SPi/MPi nova, or i need to transplant a 1.2 spi into the blue one!
The volvo is on ebay whilst I collect parts to get our merc Vito road legal.
The track car is fine bar it needs new tyres and i badly want a diff before the new season!

As a doner for the engine I take it, or whats the body on it like?
Stalled lol.
LMFAO lol lol about the same as my build then lol
So, time to blow the dust off the thread and start a bit of mincing.
Some of you have had the pleasure of meeting my pikey Vito. Some more of you will have the pleasure at Billing, where I shall once again, lower the tone of the entire show with its basically discraceful appearance lol
http://www.modelnovas.com/gallery/131.jpg
I Had a wee play with it, as you can see, removing some of the rust and oxiding over it. Unfortunately Ive left it too long before paint so a lot of it is coming back, so the first job in the next week or so will be to redo most of it.
So far, the tailgate. the drivers door, drivers wing and the grill panel have been replaced (obviously AFTER this pic was taken lol)
I also won these babies on ebay just a few seconds ago!
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&item=250456583816
It still needs a rear bumper and a drives side arch liner.
Plans will be a full respray bar the roof once i get a compressor, some 40mm lowering springs, some mudflaps, a towbar, a decent stereo install, probably some cabin seats to make it more comfy to sleep in, and a new roof rack :)
Mechanically its fapping solid, and its also the 112 so it goes like a clipped bloody cat lol
Updates as and when I get time now I have work again :)
Good to hear things are looking up for you mate :)
Nothing can rust like a Merc commercial!
Shame the door bottoms don't go like the Transits and leave the weather strip hanging off lol.
Your Vito looks hard as nails mate! Get your mobile number up the side for added gyponess. lol
Be good to see it cleaned up. :)
Nothing can rust like a Merc commercial!
Tell me about it. My clients Sprinters bonnet has suddenly rotted half away so fast it actually made him have a double take at it when he saw it lol
LMAO. New shape? I seen one the other week, where the door bottoms were gone and it looked like it needed plating around two of the rear hinges - 57 plate!

It's all down to the fact assholes drive and abuse them! lol lol
LOL!
Oh how you will all be laughing on the other side of your faces when I turn this van from PIKEY to CHAV lol
Get stuart's mobile number up the side for added gayness. lol
Win.
Ohj yes, I also have to do the brakes as Im not sure how much longer the discs will last with no meat left on the pads. :)

For the nova's on PNG's stand at Billing i was going to see if the guy i know who does graphics could do this as a sticker like the URL one.
Once Driven Forever Smitten-PNGclub.com
but it was just an idea, could get them done for the rest of the year/next season?

You selling up again then mike?
You selling up again then mike?
I am, but it really must go now.
And yes, for a Van it does blady shift!
I think this is down to Lee, as he made his old 1.2 feel fast
the transit use to be a right laugh.
No progress as such as Ive been away, but I managed to jump on Ebay and order the following.
A Towbar
A set of 50/35 lowering springs
A set of front brakes (Ring has completely killed them lol)
A rear spoiler
A front splitter
A set of Recaro's (collecting tomorrow)
A new front headlight as one has a bullet hole.
All thats left on the shopping list is some paint ready for Bank Hol weekend when it will be going up to Dans where we will blitz it. I just need to get some paint on the sundries now, such as the trims, the wheels and the badges before then.
On a Side note, I now have all the bits I need to start on the Loonaque, namely a Mk2 saloon, a braked towing hitch and some random bits of steel :) So ill be starting on that soon too. Saloon is still at Craigs so dont have any pics yet.
Hopefully some pics of progress tomorrow as I have to drive to Germany AGAIN next week, and intend to at least have the drivers seat changed as the current one is a proper bum number :) Ill at least have the tow bar on anyway!
Should look

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v287/Bottlethroddy/08082009025.jpg
I need a V class single seat box now so I can bin the bench seats and mount the other one.
Then I started prepping the wheels for paint. Some pics before I started.
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v287/Bottlethroddy/08082009026.jpg
I had to drill the stud holes out to 15mm to take the vans larger whell nuts. Need to find some longer ones as well as the standards dont even make it through the wheel lol

Those Recaro's are well comfy mate :thumb:

Yep, Vitesse Turbo, some 220 Coupe Turbo's have them too.
Yarp, rover recaro's :) I didnt realise how much of my **** dissappeared down into that hole on the old seat, but by feck its nice to be sat straight in it lol I managed to pull a master stroke today. Mark has forbidden me from pillaging the Steam V class for parts, but I managed to convince him to swap the single pass seat in it with my bench seat, so i did the swap quick tonight and I can bodge in the other recaro at my liesure now.
Finished Rimmage.

Errr lee, youre sposed to be building a nova for the ring not a sodding van, mind you theres less chance of the rods exiting the vito as diesels are bombproof lol
The van is my daily drive. im sick of it looking a complete shed lol

you ever need a new van come to wer i work www.ideal-commercials.co.uk (http://www.ideal-commercials.co.uk) we do all the modding on the vw transporters and any other vans we do colour coding, a-bars and side bars and alloys for transits, transporters, and vivaros that are really poo with renault engines lol!
The van is my daily drive. im sick of it looking a complete shed lol
Fair play man cant argue with that, plus aswell once youve pimped your mobile home you wont need to hide it behind the stand at the shows anymore lol

Is there any engine in the world that Lee can't break? lol
You hope/wish/pray (delete as appropriate) lol
Ive not had enough time with it yet. :)
So are the wheels fitted or the spoilaaar then mr mincer lol
Nope. Wheels need the bores taking out by about a mil, then they will be ready to have the tyres swapped, but I probably wont do that until its painted on BH weekend. Same goes for the spoiler.

Binned the roof rack (im going to purchace a new one which I can mount quickly when I need it), the rear slideup bar and pre fitted the spoiler so all the holes are drilled in the right place, and will prevent me scratching it after paint :)

Has it got its new box then??
I meant the engine can handle revving high without overheating or pushing valves through the bulkhead :d
The new box is still, er, in the boot lol
As much as i badly want to continue mincing with the loonaq, i have to start prepping for the big weekend of paint which is fast approaching. Ventured down to the auto paint supplies and spent a wad on everything we should need (should be the last expenditure on the van now bar a tyre and the tracking once its lowered).
Got the bumpers off and started fitting the splitter using screws and adhesive.

yay, second almost successful spray job done :d , Tbh i thought i had set the gaunlet abit tight, esp as we had a few hours down time. Lee youve been officially "pie'ed"
In an xzibit style
Sorry i ment "pimped"
Good work:). IMO its a must to turn upto work in tidy clean and smart looking van. Its generally a pretty accurate way to instantly assess what kind of work will be done by its occupants. The exception to this rule are a few of the gypo vans which can be brand new minters. In that circumstance all you need to do is look at the occupants and ask them if they "loike dags"lol
Is there going to be a bit of subtle signage? My bro has got some magnetic signage he can take off.

looks very good as CP said, i seen a taxi the other day with magnetis signage, really good stuff.
Thanks Charles. Yeah, it has been mucho embarrasing turning up in that thing. Not getting it sign written as i normally contract for people who want me working under their company name.
Anyway.. back together :)
This is how it sat after re attaching the bumpers, mirrors, spoiler, plates and badges. You can also see a cheeky exhaust trim i added the other day. Nice subtle touch I think.

that looks loads better well done to you both just got to tint the rear window now and its done
Ive tried twice lol I need to get it done proffessionally because the rear screen is like a kind of bowl, so its completely beyond my talent barrier (which is low)
Thanks for the kind comments, i'm really pleased, and I know Dan is chuffed with how the paint came out. It doesnt really need a mop so im going to wait a week for the paint to harden and just give it a tcut and polish.

Was gonna pop over to yours Lee earlier, was passing coming home The Lizard but some gimp was speeding an I missed the junction on the M5 lol lol
it looks fine.. you will be crying within a fortnight when some git dings it in a carpark
I forgot Lee was painting it today. Rocked up earlier and thought "oh feck hes bought ANOTHER vito" lol
Dan, might have to ask a favour about borrowing your establishment for painting my spare doors and front wings at some point :)

Don't! i said to Dan, its either going to be crashed into or blow up now. Knowing me, the blowing up is probably more likely lol
Jack, you're the 3rd person to do that. The best was when Marks bro came over yesterday. He works at a Merc dealership and he sourced us this one and the steam powered V class. He looked at it and then got a bit upset that we didnt come to him to replace the blue one, and that he would have liked first shout on buying it. I just pointed at the reg and his jaw nearly fell off his face lol
Good job boys - came out really well, but preferred the Pikey Van!
I can't take the p1ss now!
Oh wait yes I can - van looks good but if you still hang that fecking flowery curtain inside youre still a pikey at heart!
Flowery curtain will be there next weekend. Dont want to dissappoint lol
I cant help myself, I just ordered a brand new set of V class rear lights as the current ones now let the back end down badly lol
Just need side repeaters now.

dam i thought you would of gone for big chrome wheel trims for the proper pikey effect lol
If you still wanna be a pikey lee, you need to mount some 6x9s lengthways up the back of the cab and blare out some rave tapes lol
Top job that is, looks a million times better
