Tank Vent Valve?

Just wondering what I should have done with the tank vent valve when I wired up my c20let nova, im offshore just now so cant remember but think I left it connected but put a bolt in one end? Anyone confirm if this is the right think to do.

dont bother with it, I havent got it on mine an none of the cars I do have them on. You still want the fuel tank to breath so dont block it off just dont leave it in the engine bay. Leave the actual valve connected then it wont bring up any fault codes.
