no drive??? just broke my nova help needed plz??

think ive just fuked me nova just going round a corner not even fast and ive just lost all drive didnt make any bangs or strange noises when it happened dose anyone have any idear what it could be think the drive shaft mite of poped out of the gearbox or snaped in the gearbox could this be the problum???????

The circlips probably worn/broke meaning it can come out the diff.

ok ill give that ago 2moz if its not bin smashed to bits lol had 2leave it in the worse place poss 2nite right where all the piss heads have 2walk past on there way home. even ad to strip me sounds out befor i left it

so im just about to go try sort the nova out. i take it its just a case of jacking it up and pushing it back in is this right?? reply asap plz!

If a driveshaft has popped out, then jack up the side thats come out, take the wheel off, undo the bolt at the bottom of the steering knuckle that holds the ball join to it (bottom most bolt on the steering knuckle, it runs front to back. That'll give you more room to play with to get the shaft back in, if you still struggle, give it full lock to the opposite side (for the right shaft, give it full left lock). Make sure to tighten up the bolt that holds the balljoint in once you're done.

If yours has one, make sure to push the shaft in really hard so that it clicks into place and you cant pull it out by hand, if yours doesnt have one then push it in as far as it goes, then go and buy a circlip :thumb:

right ive just got back and managed to get the car home it was the driveshaft on pass side had come out the gearbox just had to slip the gater off and work the shaft back in then taped it with a hammer is this just gana keep happning now?

Probably yeah,until you fit a new clip.

ok i will get on to the motor factors monday mornin and get one sorted just happy to get the car home i was lucky it didnt get touched lastnite!
