engine conversion

i,ve got a mk2 1.2 and wana put sumink bigger in there, really want sumink bigger than a 1.4 though. is it pos to put a 1.6 in? :-/ are mounting points the same etc. cheers.

u can put in a 1.6 yea, but if u want to use the injection on the 1600 engines u will need to fit the fuel tank+pump+lines and wiring from the 1.6 gte/gsi.

much easier doing the 1400 conversion mate!!

there is no hassle in puttin in the 1600. the only wiring you need is the engine wiring. you'll need to mount a pump somewhere near the tank and wire that off ignition 2 or off a switch. as for the tank as long as it has a return feed it's perfect. i used the tank off a "92 1.2 last month to do that conversion for a mate :D
