Registration Plate - Window code mismatch ?

Can anyone think of any legitimate reason why the reg plate would not match with the code etched on the windows ? the code on the windows was n 66 something. I thought the nova was discontinued on a J plate ?
Anyone else noticed this ?

its not forced to be a registration number on the window, could be a serial number or part of chassis number maybe?

mine has registration number on all of the windows

erm mayb the windows got smashed n replaced? are the codes or numbers all the same for each window?

Nope sounds like chassis number to me. Check from where it says the letter then numbers, think it's 8 digits in or something!

Ok cheers, it was N then 8 digits or so, the same on each window. Just checking for next time, as I am still on the prowl for a nova .

my 2nd nova had different numbers on it to that of my plate, due to a scumbag break in and windows from the scrappies.

yeah mine has a different quarter light reg number on it.. for obvious reasons. Theiving B*stards.

Most Mk2's come with the chassis number etched on there.
N..... chassis is a Mk2

dont worry about it, mines has the reg plate of my old SR on every window lol

my mates window numbers are all completely different to each other

mine are all the same though to my reg :)

mine had different ones on each window thanks to some brain dead smack heads. The police claimed that i had rolled the car an hence why all the windows were different.
