Mine used to regularly do 305 miles. Don't see why not, is it oil smoke?

It will make it easily, 1L's are unbreakable

yeah id say it would but i wouldnt drive it for a straight run of 360 miles would give it a break or 2 to let it cool down a bit

It will make it, just remember to take some oil and water with you and check the fluids before you leave.

the only thing that could kill my 1.0 was a good puddle. would usually cut out and start about 5 minutes later

Listen, if my 110,000 mile + 1200 can make it down a motorway, anyone can!

Whats the 1.0 like compared to the 1.2? Seeing as its an OHV and a much older engine design?

The old 1.0l always smoke a wee bit on start and under hard use. They dont have any valve stem oil seals on the exhaust valves. If you kill a 1.0l i want to know how due to the fact i done 100miles in mine with no oil in, on purpose mind to kill it and it wouldnt die, tried everything, holding it in first on the valve bounce for 10miles or so, then just changed up, perfect.

Keep the oil topped up, carry water and fit an inline fuel filter to the carb.

Yep it'll be fine, mine 1.0 had a replacement engine from a scrappy..

Which I used to thrash for 4 years straight, oil, water, and serviving was all it ever needed.

And its new owner just completed the mongol rally in it only suffering two punctures!
