whats the difference between a cam for an injection vauxhall engine to a carb'd vauxhall engine?
i have one of each and now im a bit confused

carb type cam should have a fuel pump drive lobe.....
Someone on here is bound to know the identification code stamped in the end.

ah i see, looks like il be getting another carb'd one.
i have a 320 deg piper cam, its way too wild, need T40's to run it
All Injection cams are more tame than a 1.4sr one, less lift.
less overlap is the key difference.

I thought the 1.6 GTE cam was fairly hot?? So the std 1.4 SR cam is hotter?
Higher lift or different duration & dwell etc?
Sr cam has another 0.5mm of lift on exhaust iirc compared to gte.
The SPi cams are utter tosh, and have about 1.5mm less lift than a sr one.

looks like im putting the standard sr one back in, apparently my cam is ment for use with 40's or TB's
having it done soon, been off the road for ages :(
