idling

When my GSI has got up to running temp it sometimes idles at 2000rpm. If you blip the accelerator it idles normal. If it is left for a few minutes idling it will gradually take itself up to 2000rpm itself. Someone told me it is probably the airflow sensor, I have tried cleaning this but still have the problem. Any ideas? Cheers.

which gsi is it, the bosch or multec?

have u tried checking your vacuum pipes, and the thin pipes that go around the inlet manifold, these being disconected can have a similar problem. also give the mechanical parts that move when u use the accelerator a spay with carb cleaner or something like wd40.
