Hey, i recently bought a Nova Luxe plus 1.2i k-reg. Its got a few of the mods people talk about here, such as electric windows, central locking, tinted windscreen, and i was wondering what is the best/first thing for me to change/upgrade, performance wise.

Dont get me wrong, it goes real good now, but everything in it is standard, and i fancy making a few changes.

Its my first car, and i am a student, so nothing to expensive or complicated if possible. ;)

I was also wondering what diffrences there is between my nova, and the normal 1.2's. As there is no mention of the injection in my Haynes manual. (plz excause me if i am talking cr*p, i dont know much about cars yet)

One other thing, i read a post a day or 2 back, where people were talking of removing thier catalytic convertors? why is that? As i have one on my Nova.

Thanks alot, Gareth Ayres.

removin the cat lets air flow faster and improves performance. To improve it you could get a performance back box, de-cat it and either get a K&N panel filter or cone airfilter.

ud have to check stuff like a new air filter wiv ur insuranse company. CIS will let u do nearly nething to the bodywork, even lowering it and puttin on a backbox, new bumpers etc, but theyll bump the cost of insurance up one group (?200+) if many performance mods are done.
im a student wiv a 1.2, jus gonna do the bodywork up a bit until ive got a years no claims. check out www.roybacer.co.uk for another source of answers.
