ignition/headlight prob

when i turn the ignition on my lights go on full beam. i have tried taking the light controls out and turning the ignition on but the same thing happens. any ideas?

Check the wiring into the indicator stalk.
If thats OK it could be the stalk switching thats knackered causing it to act as tho the headlight flash has been activated??

on the right hand side shelf under dash there is a light control unit unplug it. if this works leave it unplugged
