Are the two litre 8 valve engines in a nova as quick as everyone says...i am in the middle of my conversion...also would a kent cam help improve my novas speed

I have a 2.0l 8v (although its just blown up !!) it is a quick engine, not as quick as the 16v but more torqey. Good engine, much cheaper that 16v and cheaper to insure.
