does anyone know if the solinoid for the passenger side will fit on the drivers side? or will i need to find one which is specifically for the drivers side that has an output to open/close the passneger side?

Yeah it will but then it wouldn't control the passenger side. You would need it as well as the drivers side, and have it connected to your alarm central locking controller. I would get a 5 wire solenoid and replace the drivers side with it, the 3 wires connect as the drivers side did, and the other 2 connect to your alarm.

im assuming the one in the passenger is only four?
