Vauxhall Nova Road, Rally, Track Day, Race, Sprint or Hillclimb Car ? Rolling Shell, Just needs engine, gearbox and harnesses to complete
I am selling a very nicely prepared and maintained competition Vauxhall Nova (originally a 1.3 SR). It is being sold as a rolling shell (no engine or 'box).
Ideal to build up as a race/rally/track day or road car. This has 9 months MoT remaining. Finished in silver paintwork, it has lots of nice bits fitted, many of which have seen little use.
Note; The engine/gearbox and harnesses have been removed, but apart from this, everything is fitted and ready to go.
This car had many road rally and autotest wins to its credit. It has also been used for hillclimbs and sprints.
In very tidy condition, with loads of potential; inexpensive to run, quick and fun to drive, with plentiful parts availability for future upgrades.
I have the V5 log book and the car has a 9 months MoT Certificate. The MoT tester commented on how solid the car is underneath, which is unusual for a Nova.
It has a full 'Safety Devices' bolt in roll cage, quick steering rack, SPORTEX large bore exhaust, and has 6? x 15" alloy wheels with uprated front brakes.
The suspension is by gas dampers and tarmac springs, which are almost new. It has poly bushes in the rear axle mountings and steering rack mountings.
The conversion to a stage rally car would be very simple (just replace seats/fire extinguisher for an MSA logbook).

Front carpet, door trims and headlining retained to comply with Road Rally regulations.

Fuel/Exhaust; Full large bore SPORTEX race/rally exhaust system fitted. Fibreglass fuel tank guard.
Suspension/Steering; gas filled front and rear dampers with matched lowered and uprated springs. QUAIFE quick steering rack. Polyurethane bushes for steering rack mountings and rear beam. GSi tie bars (thicker).
Brakes; large grooved and ventilated front with ATE calipers and EBC uprated brake pads. Goodridge Aeroquip braided stainless steel brake flexis (rear) and stainless steel braided fuel lines. All brake and fuel pipes are run internally through the car.
Wheels/Tyres; 15" x 6" GM Intra 5 spoke alloys with excellent 195/50 road tyres.
Other; Windscreen Washers on the wiper arms
Just fit an engine and gearbox, plus some seat belts, and away you go!
