Vectra GSI Oil Filter

Does my 98 Vectra GSI have a screw on oil filter or a cartridge? i'm about to order one at work so i cant get underneath the car and have a look. Also, how hard is it to change them?

What engine does it have?
2.5 v6?

If its a x25xe, according to EPC it has a cartridge element type filter, part number 9192426

Yes its a 2.5v6. Whats EPC? how hard is it to change a cartridge as iv'e never done one before?

depending where the cartridge is, its a piece of piss... and far far far cleaner than a normal filter change.

you whip the cap off the filter housing. pull the filter element out, clean up the housing, new filter in and put the cap back on. way less mess than normal.

I can change the vx's oil filter in 2 mins and dont even get my hands dirty lol

they can be either an element 9192426 or it could be a spin on 93156954 buy both to be on the safe side !! and take back the incorrect one !!
