5 bolts will be fine, just make sure theyre tight. Thats better than mullering the pulley anyway.

was just going to drill it out just a tad bit bigger to get the last bolt in so 5 is ok then just gonna put some lock tight on them if 5 are going in
cheers

Take it you've tried rotating the pulley on the crank as the 6 holes aren't equally spaced ?
If you have and the pulley hasn't been machined right and its only a little bit off then i'd just file it out ... as long as you don't need to file loads off, stick some 243 Loctite on as well as they seem to have a habit of coming loose, well mine did !!

Does your mate have the steel oil pump gear?
The nice pulley that your fitting has no rubber mount built in to it. A mate of mine put one on his rally car, he didn't have the steel oil pump gear at the time. His oil pump gear shattered after a short while. If your mates engine fails could you post it up because I have only heard this from my mate and I would like to know if this was just him or as he says a common thing when fitting the solid pulleys.

Have you got the pulley on in the right position or the right way round as one of the holes are offset to ensure the notch in the standard puley lines up with the TDC pointer.

i tried a thew times but one hole was out by about 2 mm so we went round my garage to just see on mine and exactly the same so i filed it out a bit as r1ch said and then i got the last bolt in will get a pic soon as i go back round there

Maybe the aftermarket pulley hasnt taken this into consideration. should be fine with 1 hole filed out.
