a geezer I used to go to school with was trying to sell his 1.3SR to us last night. He reckoned it was the fastest nova around, completlty standard and would beat all novas except 2ltr's and some modded GTE's (beats GSi's though). he said the engine was reconditioned and only done 2000 miles on clock (methinks its done 102000 hehe). ?100 if anyone wants this beast. slight back end damage under rear cluster. he has got a reanult 19 1.8 16v now and thinks that is the fastest thing ever. nob

not sure about 1.3 but i have a 1.4SR, it is geared for 120mph but it doesnt have enough torque to beat the wind resistance, ive had it to 110mph.

ive hand my 1400 up to about 110mph without even pushing it hard, its standard as well but im not too worried about top end as acceleration is much more fun!!!

I had my 1400 up to 115 on the dial,and that was on my first straight run to see how easy it topped a ton! quite good for a small car I think,especially as me mate only had 126 in his astra gte 8v

110 mph in my nova sri but then i backed off coz the road had too many bends so i left it maybe 115

mines an f reg 1.3sr its had no tweeks to da engine yet but as it stands ive had 118 out of it, its only done 52,000 miles the person who had it b4 me was a little old lady, mind you it doesnt like the wind at that speed:O
