will the twin 40s curently fitted to my 1.3sr fit an 1.4? (and if so which 1.4s?)
The inlet will bolt on yeah, but the ports are all wrong.
Assuming that is, they currently have an inlet to suit a 1300 head.

Will this have a hugely detrimental effect on performance?
Is what you say of all 1.4 heads (carb, spi and MPi?)

A SRi head would probably be the closest match and give the least turbulance into the head if you must use a 1.4 head
SR's and SPi have square ports whereas the SRi have round ports.
if tis anything but the sri then fit the 1.3 head too for a nice gain in go with the carbs.
if its an SRI then sell the inlet and buy a 1.4/1.6 mpi inlet for it.

Im selling the carbs/inlet etc and retaining the head so thats not an option. A a possible buyer has a 1.4sr and wondered if theyd suit.
nope.... unless the person fitting them dosent care about feck all gains

thats a nope theres little in it or nope they wont fit well?
They will bolt right on.
But the ports are completely wrong, so air flow will be ****e.
They will "work" thol.
