Well after a good few years of searching i have finally managed to get hold of a brand new set of opel wind deflectors, courtesy of Steve in Luxembourg.

At a rough guess i'd say matt had them from steve in luxembourg.

its funny as they were probably the least desired option part from the dealer along with the headlight protectors.

I have never seen a nova with them on.......I know the holes are there for them, I reckon I could get the glass drilled by a specialist firm, what do the catches & hinges look like? are they just mk1 astra ones?

I can't see it being as unpopular as some other options, unless it was prohibitively expensive - can't see it being that much for a couple holes in the window and some brackets.

I got my opening rear quarters from my local dealers was about ?240 the only bits missing were the gromit type part for the b pillar which i have got now and the the seals which i aint:roll:

Jack, you would be surprised how much options can cost... Think about the volumes of cars without the opening rears compared to the few that might have had them. Its a different fitting process, different parts (in much much lower numbers so cost goes up compared to normal glass parts)

Sorry never read your post correctly. I dont think it was a dealer fit option in the uk.

Factory option on a Nova Dart in 1987, of which only a handfull were sold so they withdrew the option.
