just gone out and bought a amp and got no power have a spare wire thats ment to be connected to the car stereo power antenna does it need to be connected if so what to very confused any help will be appreciated :confused: :thumb:

u mean the remote wire is it thin and blue

is it earthed right ( sumtimes people forget rud rub away paint as it can not always conduct)

yes there is a wire from the steroe that normally says p rem on which is power remote i think then that goes to your amp

yes mate it is earthed. it is a blue thin wire but the stereo wires dont have tags or anything on so dont know witch wire to connect it to

yeh it normaly connect by the power and earth on the amp the amp may be broken then you think?

normaly the feed from the back of the sterio will be the same color if not take a picture for me and i will try figer it out for u lol

but if u got the blue wire from the feed all u have do is bridge it into the wire

i think i have a blue wire and a white and blue plus do you think that might be why the power light dont come on??

yeh its not getting a signal to tell it its that or ur power cable check fuses on amp and if theres on on the power cable, make sure earth is connected right and not touching paint but its deffo earthed

ok thanks im sure the blue cable is what turns the amp on when the stereo is turned on if that makes sence lol

on the headunit sometimes they have there own little bit wherre you plug the remote lead into but...

if u got a headunit like mine which wasnt ment for a amp then you will have to use your aerial power for the remote lead (which i think is used for when u have a eletric aerial that expands itself when the car is switched on/head unit switched on if that makes sense..

if that doesnt make sense pm me or reply on this thread and ill rewrite it :P
