help with wiper relay

on the wiper relay the one on the right nearest the door

there is a brown wire with a white stripe on, were should it connect to can i just connect it to earth ?

i ve looked in haynes it doesnt show the wire connected to the relay

does any one have a spare loom they can look at

or explian how the relay works so i can maybe rewire it to get round the problem
