hi all

I've just bought a 98' corsa sport 1.6, its been lowered 30mm but only on springs and is now a bit bouncy on the knackered standard shocks, my question is what sort of shockers would people recommend i fit, i don't wanna put on g-max based on previous experience in my old nova and i don't wanna fit coilovers cause there too hard for the roads round here.

Thanx
Dave

As far as value for money goes get yourself an Apex setup, had a full kit on the nova and my old cav 1.6 hatch and it was bloody good quality. Failing that if ride quality is what your after, new standard shocks, kyb's or boge's with eibach springs.

yeh its got 30mm eibach springs on it now, any thought about Spax 40mm kits, they do a set for around ?200 and a set around ?300 which would be best? i don't mind it being fairly hard cause i want it to handle but not banging around and shaking me fillings out.

The Spax kit on my Nova is very hard and bumpy so won't give you the ride quality you're after IMO.

when i bought my corsa gsi it had just 40mm lowering springs on but then i put on the bilstein b12 kit on and it handled superbly it totally transformed it.would defanatly reccomend a set!(going to be buying a set for my nova soon!)
