Take the rocker cover off and do the breather mod. Very easy to do.
Pm Dar as he did mine for me and would best describe what you need to do.
The only tools you will need are a hacksaw and a allen key but is very strait forward.

Yep, as above.
Its oil gettting chucked into the throttle body from the cam cover outlet.

In side the rocker cover there is a sort of breather plate which is held in by alot of toques bolts.
First remove them then clean off all of the silocone that holds the plate in.
Once you have made sure all that is removed and the rocker cover has been cleaned out of any loose bits move on the the plate you have removed.
The plate should be an l shap and you need to hacksaw a peice off.
Once cut off make sure no bits are left to fall back into the engine then refit the rocker cover.
I will try and find a link for you and atatch to hear asap.

This was mine before the mod was done.

Well you can if you want to spend out on some thing you dont need and you can mod what you have your self for free.

Just cut the plate like the piccy above and bolt it back on to the cam cover. Its very important that you get rid off all the silicone sealent. Then just re fit it as normal. The breater pipe can go back as standard.

ok will have ago cheers for the help have never taken an xe apart but looks like i will be. to be honest i have just had it rebuilt as my mechanic left the sump bolt loose and well you know the rest. he has only done the bottom end and now it is making a squeaking and tapping which i am hoping is the lifters is there any thing else that could have gone with no oil for 30 secs? the bottom end has had a complete overhaul and the squeaking is opnly when the car is under load i.e. when it is stand still it only suffers from the usual noisy lifter problem

cheers neil
