Brake Size Question

Will 284mm Discs with 2ltr Astra GTE callipers fit under 15 inch wheels??

no the astra gte calipers are for 256mm discs for a start.

I know they are, but theres some spacers brackets with the callipers that obviously move the calliper further out to fit the discs.

depends on the make and model of wheels, and the set up of the caliper and spacer.

You will only get the right answer by trying it, not listening to recycled info on here about similar conversions

Cheers, Think I will just try it, its all brand new stuff and was bought for nova upgade so I know it will fit, just wanted to make sure they fit under 15's as my mate can't remember what size wheels they will go under.

You cant fit 284mm discs, as they wont fit inside the brake caliper bracket, as its designed for a 256 disc.

well actually you can, you use a different bracket for the caliper ect.., seen it done a few times now.

I assumed he was wanting to use the standard brackets.

Yes they will fit under 15s, both 284 and 288 brake setups do(most 15s anyway)
