c20xe engin help needed

i am about to buy (took possesion but not paid) for a c20xe.

i took off thesfi box and opened the throttle today and found a lot of water and petrol sat in the bottom.

obviously this is not good but i was planning on new hg and valves but just want to know if there could be other more expensive damage?? cons/pistons.

and also how could this off happened??

dont forget theres a cam cover breather which goes back into the throttle body from the rocker cover.

if the engine has been sat outside at anytime then it may collect abit of water in it.
as for the oil it is only where it has come from the rocker breather pipe..
