CV joints

how do I repack the outer cv joint with grease? I was changing the CV boot and found that the grease in the joint had some crap in it, so I clean the crap with degreaser and wanted to know whether i just repack it.

get a regreasing kit from halfords

or if you just wanna grease it up normally use moly grease or ZX1 grease (?17 a tub no thanks)

Didn't you get a sachet of grease with the boot kit?

I got one the other week and it included the grease.

Just re-pack it as carefully and thoroughly as you can.

I did get a pack of grease with the boot. The CV joint is back on the drive shaft and it's back on the car.

the correct definition of re-pack is:-
just shove the grease in before you put the new boot on. its messy but not as bad as a broken cv
